WHO ARE WE?

The Mosquito and Arbovirus Research Committee Inc. (MARC Inc.) is an independent Australian body involved in mosquito research. The MARC Inc. exists because local governments in Australia, in collaboration with state health departments, are committed to implementing effective measures for mosquito control and disease prevention through a sound understanding of mosquito ecology and mosquito-borne virus biology. By pooling resources to fund projects of common interest, the membership has direct access to the research community and control over the research topics that they support. The Committee became incorporated in Queensland in May 2000.
