Membership

If you are interested in becoming a member of MARC, contact us directly. All members of MARC receive:

• Research reports presented at meetings, which we must hold at least three times each year.
• Annual Reports, which in some years may take the form of Proceedings from Arbovirus Research or Mosquito Control Association of Australia Symposia, given that MARC Scientists and students are heavily involved in these Symposia.
• Access to research reports, presenations and relevant publications on our website.
• Research results which can be used to demonstrate a commitment to scientific and environmentally sound mosquito control activities.
• Networking opportunities - members are part of a network in which they can share information and develop practical solutions in the areas of mosquito monitoring and control.

Eligiblility

Local or state government agencies involved in mosquito control (or approved by the Management Committee) are eligible for Full or Affiliate membership of MARC. Organisations that provide a significant financial contribution to MARC may also apply for corporate membership.

Individuals or organisations that provide significant professional or technical contributions to MARC (excluding local or state governments) may be awarded Honorary membership status.

Membership entitlements

Full members

• Full voting rights of 1 vote at the general meetings.
• Eligible for election to management committee positions.
• Receipt of 1 copy of the MARC Annual Report or the Proceedings from Arbovirus Research or Mosquito Control Association of Australia Symposia.
• Access to MARC Scientists.
• Access to MARC website.

Affiliate members

• Receipt of 1 copy of the MARC Annual Report or the Proceedings from Arbovirus Research or Mosquito Control Association of Australia Symposia.
• Limited access to MARC Scientists.
• Access to MARC website.

Honorary members

• Eligible for election to management committee position.
• Receipt of 1 copy of the MARC Annual Report or the Proceedings from Arbovirus Research or Mosquito Control Association of Australia Symposia.
• Access to MARC scientists.
• Access to MARC website.
• Exempt from paying membership fees.
